Our planning tools each answer one question: which airport, will the RV fit, what does it cost, RV or car, what to book when. This page asks the eight questions they share once, then opens each tool with your answers filled in, so you don’t type the same thing seven times.
How it works
- Eight questions, about two minutes. Every answer is optional except the park; sensible defaults are filled in (the route for your park, its usual length, its airport).
- A short summary. The shortest airport to your park, the cost range from the cost calculator, the RV vs car + motel result, what your vehicle means for Zion, and season warnings. Every figure comes from one of the tools below and is marked [A] where it is our estimate.
- One link per tool. Each link carries your answers in the address, the same way the tools’ own “copy link” buttons work. Change anything there; the tool has the details and the sources.
- A link to your plan. The address of the summary holds all eight answers. Send it to whoever you travel with.
What it covers, and what it doesn’t
- Eight costed routes: Las Vegas → Zion, Bryce & Grand Canyon; Phoenix → Grand Canyon; Salt Lake City → Arches; Salt Lake City → Yellowstone & Grand Teton; Denver → Rocky Mountain; and, since 29 October 2026, San Francisco → Yosemite, Los Angeles → Joshua Tree & Death Valley, and a 10-day Los Angeles loop through all three. Cost, RV vs car and the booking timeline use all eight; the size checker has campground data for the first five only.
- Ten parks, seven airports: the airport comparator covers all ten parks from all seven airports, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Bozeman.
- Arrival check: depot hours for Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Bozeman, and El Monte in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
- Not included: flights, live prices, live availability and one-way rentals between different airports. This is not a booking site and there are no affiliate links on this page.
Your answers and your browser
Nothing is saved in your browser until you press Save to My Trip. Until then your answers live only in the page address. Saving stores the route, pickup date, cost inputs and (if you picked one) the vehicle in this browser for My Trip and the other tools, as described on our privacy page. Nothing is sent to us.
Built from desk research: published rates, official pages and our own arithmetic, with a check date on every tool. We have not driven every route ourselves. Spotted something out of date? Tell us at info@runwaytorim.com.
